assignments…

Assignments, exams, getting ready to move, avoiding the rain, that’s about it really….
In case you were wondering. How about you?

hard work, if you can get it…

We’re going wine-tasting this weekend in the southern highlands for a school excursion. 10 wineries over 2 days, sip, spit, sip, swallow. That’s the plan. I’ve managed to bring along an entourage, Michelle is coming as an honorary student (my teacher loves her) and Maud is coming as a visiting French specialist (it’s being French that allows you to get away with this title…). Staying at a rough and ready southern highlands pub, it’s going to be a hoot.

We’ve got our winter woollies packed and my eyes open for any antique’y finds whilst on a little side trip to chintzy Berrima…

Holidays

Now that I have responsibilities and commitments with school, holidays are a little trickier to organise. We were supposed to be going to France in September to help JD with his first Vendage, but instead I’m going to be neck deep trying to pass difficult exams set in London. We have to cancel the trip. The only options for travel are July during my holidays (too soon!), after the 15th November (Michelle’s brother is coming here!) and the first two weeks of December (too cold!). Bummer really.

Another year is far too long to have to wait, and plus, Michelle wants to go to Quebec in 2011…

demenagement

We’ve found a place to rent, a very cool place, still in Erskineville. Great summer pool-party house…

Moving on the Queens Birthday. Nice way to spend a long weekend. I have a parade of removalist men coming through counting all our stuff each morning, quoting on the job and while I’m planning to buy a few new bits and pieces for the enormous house, I’m also thinking on the other hand we’ll never leave Australia we have too much stuff!!!
