Dinner at friends

Saturday night we were invited to some friends for dinner. It’s the first time for ages we’ve been invited out, they live walking distance away so there is no hassle with transport. Good cooks (+ he’s a chocolatier) so it’s always something to look forward to, and on Saturday they went out of their way to invite an old school friend of mine that I hadn’t seen for ages.

I suspect it was a challenge for them – having to do vegetarian, and gluten free (for the other guests) but wow did they succeed with aplomb!

It was a fantastic evening, I might just do it again. Next time we get an invitation I might be less likely to convert it to a dinner here, and more likely to accept graciously. We’ll see.
